Scholarship
fund

Established in the fall of 2017, the Dyaspora-Haiti Scholarship Fund was developed in recognition of a general lack of publicly funded schools in Haiti. Indeed, the majority of school-age children must enroll in private schools. While they prioritize and strongly believe in the transformative benefits of education, most parents in Haiti who earn a median of $1,162 USD per year are not able to afford what amounts to over $500 USD for secondary school.

When the fund began in 2017, DCC was able to fund 2 high school girls. With the support of our very generous donors, for the 2022-2023 school year, DCC is funding four Dyaspora-Haiti Scholars: Herieuse Alexis, Leica Delice, Tania Donatin, and Dooly Louis.

Students in Haiti who are interested in applying for the scholarship may do so HERE.
